Record Store Day 2016
Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the U.S. and thousands of similar stores internationally. The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. And today, there are participating Record Store Day stores all over the world, including five in Dallas alone.
This year, record store day will take place on Saturday, April 16th, and with it comes a large number of special vinyl releases and various promotional products that are made exclusively for the day. The list of releases is very extensive, but we have done the legwork for you and highlighted some of our favorites you should be sure to grab on this special day.
