Video Premier - The Fuzzy Crystals - "Spinning"
It’s new music Friday and we are excited to exclusively premiere the music video debut from The Fuzzy Crystals. The music video for "Spinning" is a marvelous live action performance art piece. A shadowed hand draws surreal imagery on a projector lit up against a warehouse wall, seemingly symbolizing an almighty creator. Three of the ten band members perform vignettes of their lyrics, the hand controlling their ever-changing surroundings.
The psych rock band out of L.A., is comprised of members hailing from all four corners of the United States (and Spain). The Fuzzy Crystals teamed up with master tape manipulator Gus Seyffert (Beck, The Black Keys, James Supercave) to create their second album, Crystal Magic. Recorded live on Seyffert's 3M M79 16-Track Reel-to-Reel during a three-week, crystal-fueled sonic marathon. It was mixed directly to two-track 1/2" tape; no digital processing of any kind was used until the mastering engineer transferred the final mixes to audio files.
Take a look at the music video below and let us know what you think. Be sure to also check out The Fuzzy Crystals new album Crystal Magic. The band describes the album as “truly the child of a fuzzy love; every note is as real as the voices and instruments used to create it. Channeling the kaleidoscopic spirits of LA's hallucinatory history” .
