With ISLAND getting a lot of love in London and selling out shows across the UK, the melodic indie rock band made the voyage out to Dallas’ Three Links on Wednesday as part of their North American tour. With a packed crowd and captivated audience, the energy started as soon as the lights dimmed. ISLANDS performed tracks from their debut album, Feels Like Air, living up to their London reputation.

Soaring guitars and dreamy instrumentals defines the albums’ lively tone , building in intensity as the songs progressed. All four band member danced and flipped their manes throughout the set, filling Three Links with an explosion of emotion and electricity. “You guys are going to make some noise for this motherf**ker on the drums, Mr. Tony Richards,” said Rollo Doherty on vocals and guitar. The bond that dates back to their teenage years was obvious in the smoothness that flowed throughout their performance. ISLAND’s music continues to develop melodies that strike a chord with international audiences, finding inspiration from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Kings of Leon, War On Drugs and Grizzly Bear.
