Jade Bird Concert Recap
Elm Street was electrified on Tuesday night, as patrons packed into the intimate setting at Club Dada to welcome Jade Bird, a British singer-songwriter, whose music transcends multiple genres. The British singer has modeled herself after one of her heroes, Loretta Lynn, but she’s now tapping into her fiery side that has made her presence felt in the alternative rock. The band is more than halfway through their first headlining U.S tour, but if this performance was any indication, the group is firing on all cylinders and showing no signs of slowing down.
Coming in hot, Jade Bird opened up with a solo act before the band rushed up on stage, behind the roar of the crowd, and fired off “Cathedral”, a song off their 2017 EP Something American. The band gave the crowd all they could handle by playing their 2018 hits “Uh Huh” and “Lottery” back to back. Jade Bird then bid a gracious farewell to the audience, only to be beckoned back to the stage by the crowd’s deafening chant for an encore. In return, the singer flashed her ironic humor by sending the crowd off with her 2017 EP hit, “Something American”. Stay tuned as anticipation continues to grow for Jade Bird’s upcoming full length debut album.
