We are excited to premier, "When I Was Young", the new single from the extremely gifted 16-year-old Parker Twomey. The Dallas based singer-songwriter will be releasing his debut album “Floating” on Friday, May 26. At such a young age Parker shows a killer songwriting ability and "When I Was Young" is a prime example. The song feels like it could easily fit on an Indie movie soundtrack like Juno or The Fault In Our Stars.
Parker shared, "The inspiration for this song came from watching one of my good friends give up on the idea of love after a relationship fell apart. The lack of love in his life led to a downward spiral into sadness and anger towards the world. This got me thinking...how could someone give up and turn away from one of the best things life has to offer. Love is really special, so when you find it you can’t just let it go."
Parker will be celebrating the release of his album "Floating" on May 28th at Spinster Records, more details can be found here. The coinciding music video for "When I Was Young" was also recently released, check it out below.
