Last Saturday night the indie rock band, The Wrecks, played to a packed crowd at The Prophet Bar with openers Moth Wings and Brick and Mortar. The Wrecks came to Dallas as part of their first ever headlining tour titled “The Robot Army Tour”.  The band blew up on the alternative rock charts earlier this year with their song “Favorite Liar”.

The five-piece band played every song from their debut EP “We Are The Wrecks” along with some unreleased songs such as “Wasted Youth”, “James Dean” and “Life”. The band was very impressed at how well the crowd knew all the lyrics to their songs, even the unreleased ones. To the crowds surprise, The Wrecks also slipped in a cover of,  “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet.  Before the last song the guys had a special thank you for their tour manager and in a truly special moment, brought her on stage to sing her a happy birthday. They ended the night with their single, “Favorite Liar” and invited everyone in the crowd to come on stage and crowd surf.  By the end of the song the stage was completely filled with fans. The onstage presence by lead singer Nick Anderson was incredible as he sang and swooned all the girls in the audience. I highly suggest catching The Wrecks if they come through Dallas again.
